Entrepreneurial Personality – The Mindset
Entrepreneurial Personality – The Mindset (EP) is a program for the Mind. It reveals an intellectual feast of personalities of an Entrepreneurial Mindset that insists on having certain habits – stimulus-bound impulses that trigger behavior, behavior that allow us to adapt, to take rewarding risks, to recognize and exploit growth opportunities. To overcome fear and failure ,to be able to visualize outcomes, to thrive.
EP sheds light on how the rest of us who ‘may not’ be naturally gifted entrepreneurs as many tend to believe can create brain chemistry, a mindset so to speak to find success.
EP teaches us a deeply researched theory-driven and intuitively appealing analysis that reports on the ‘MAKE OF AN ENTREPRENEUR’. This meaning the stuff, an entrepreneur is made of – the personality of the Entrepreneur. The Entrepreneur’s Mindset is his personality.
Entrepreneurial Personality – The Mindset consists of 6 lessons
LESSON ONE: Radical Thinking
Successful entrepreneurs think differently! Successful entrepreneurs know that the impossible is not a fact, it is an opinion! This is the entrepreneur’s edge. To be an entrepreneur is to think differently. The goal isn’t to think outside the box as much as to own the box When you look at the thoughts, beliefs, philosophies, and behaviors of the most successful people you will literally see their ‘THINKING’. Their thinking looks something like this – challenges are opportunities, competitors are research subjects, mistakes are healthy. This is the essential difference between true entrepreneurs and wannabes
To the extent that they think differently by this definition, some of today’s entrepreneurs are decidedly unreasonable – and have even been dubbed crazy, even radical, and of course.
What is Entrepreneurship? Entrepreneurs say it is ‘a radical charge (drive), a change (disruption)’ to build a business. More to this they say you need to be in the mindset to ‘instigate’. It’s RADICAL THINKING!

LESSON TWO: Fluid Intelligence
Fluid intelligence is the ability to think logically and solve problems in novel situations independent of one’s acquired knowledge. It is the ability to think abstractly, identify patterns, it is the ability to solve new types of problems and make connections between seemingly unrelated concepts. Fluid intelligence is the bedrock for discovery and innovation.
If you hear people talk about street smarts, they are describing fluid intelligence.Being street smart means instinctively knowing how to keep yourself safe from scams ,mis-perception, mis interpretations. It means you know your way around, how to handle yourself in tough situations, and how to “read” people’s intent. In reality, the startup world contains those same very risky streets, but in the business context.
Fluid intelligence gets its name from the non-linear nature of thought processes, which are ever changing, just as the nature of fluid is always changing to adapt to the shape of its container. Successful founders, the entrepreneurs who demonstrate high levels of fluid intelligence, spend time shaping and reshaping their thinking and are able to recognize patterns, quickly learn rule sets, then apply them quickly to solve problems.

LESSON THREE: Emotional Agility
Managing emotions and applying them to the right situation is critical to expression, communication, and mission success. To be situationally aware is to interpret the inter – and intra-personal emotions – to integrate your understanding of both. Emotionally agile people are dynamic. They demonstrate flexibility in dealing with the fast changing, complex world of business and nature. It is the ability to apply the right emotion to the right context, person in the right situation at the right time.
Emotional agility is the ability to be present in the moment while being fully aware of one’s thoughts and emotions and choosing the ones that lead to achievement of goals. It affects how we manage our behavior, navigate business and social complexities, and make personal decisions that achieve positive results. Emotionally agile people are highly attuned to the fact that success is about using the correct emotional resources in each unique situation.
Emotional agility allows us to navigate life’s twists and turns with self-acceptance, clear-sightedness, and an open mind. This ability to manage one’s thoughts and feelings is essential to business success. This is especially true for entrepreneurs who design and define success in their own terms

LESSON FOUR: Zest / Enthusiasm
In positive psychology, according to the VIA Classification of Character Strengths zest is one of the 24 strengths possessed by humanity. It falls under the category of courage, the strength that allows us to overcome fear. As a component of the virtue of courage, zest involves acquiring the motivation to complete challenging situations and tasks. Those who have zest exude enthusiasm, excitement and highly contagious positive energy. This is why we see entrepreneurs with zest do extraordinary things. It’s claimed that zest brings you to realize your vision more rapidly than your any other strength.
Enthusiasm is defined as absorbing or controlling possession of the mind by any interest or the pursuit of interest. Enthusiasm brings out the hyper character in us. It is like adding more wood to a bonfire . Enthusiasm for what you do creates energy which translates into results. When you are full of energy and enthusiasm, you do the maximum and maximum results are the natural byproduct.
In defying adversity and defining destiny of choice, entrepreneurs bring their energy to show. You’re only as successful as the energy you put out, entrepreneurs know this all too well.

LESSON FIVE: Fearless / Calculated Risk Taking
Entrepreneurship is, at its heart, an incredibly scary thing; individuals are laying everything on the line to pursue an idea, dream or passion. Often, new business founders are putting themselves at an incredible risk. Fear of failure becomes the major cause hindering potential entrepreneurs from founding companies.
Yet commonly, in fact, most entrepreneurs take very calculated risks. entrepreneurs must learn to constantly dance simultaneously with both fear and possibility. To them it is a matter of perspective, what and how they are able to envision. As the saying goes, they dare to go ‘where only fools dare to go’ and in so doing, reach amazing heights in their efforts. A willingness to take risks can give an entrepreneur yet another competitive edge. Entrepreneurs are explorers who are constantly in search of a new destinations. To the entrepreneur, it isn’t a big risk; it is a normal part of who they are. In fact, the bigger risk would be to not try at all. If one entrepreneurial endeavor fails, it actually helps them for their next venture. They are able to put it behind them, take the lesson learnt and continue moving toward on their vision.
EP draws parallels to Prospect Theory revealing the components of fear and shows that entrepreneurial fear is a rather rational subconscious evaluation of the situation.

LESSON SIX: Creativity
The whole process of entrepreneurship is rooted in the creation and exploration of new ideas, it’s creativity. It is believed that creativity is a bigger predictor of success in life than intelligence. Creativity designs success by creating new ideas for competitive advantage, it defines the ability to innovate , to exploit change
Creativity is to think beyond the traditional solutions, come up with something new, interesting, versatile, and yet have success potential. Creativity is to connect dissimilar and unrelated subjects and make successful entrepreneurial ideas. Merging different fields creates interesting intersections that creates new niches. The merging of different fields is innovation, innovation is the specific instrument of entrepreneurship
Creativity addresses how to recognize and question assumptions and constraints so as to identify and capitalize on opportunities, to innovate, to found new organizations. It is to learn to change the rules of the game by creating innovative value propositions and discovering new market positions for sustained competitive advantage
Creative thinking is a huge part of good business acumen. An entrepreneur cannot rely upon occasional “light bulb” moments to achieve greatness. However, there are certain ways that can “train” the entrepreneur to be able to think creatively on a frequent basis, boost the process and make it more efficient.
