We are still reading reviews that reveal that despite a great deal of effort being put forth by schools and government agencies, an increasingly large proportion of our youth have and will continue to experience difficulty in making the transition from the world of school to the world of community, career and commerce.

Young people today face a complex and rapidly changing society.More and more students are realizing that they can’t pass their degree in for a job upon graduation anymore. The old promise made by education system was that if you worked really hard in school, you would be almost guaranteed a job as a reward for your efforts.

We found that employers are actually looking for students with entrepreneurship experience when hiring, because students who have an entrepreneurial mindset are accountable for their own actions, aggressive and know how to execute better. They have a mind that makes them ‘move’ for a quick and exponential growth – organizational wise, career wise. An entrepreneurial mind also comes with communication and sales skills that are necessary to be successful in business today. Smart companies fully understand that if they don’t innovate, they won’t exist in the future. By recruiting young entrepreneurs, they bring new perspectives and youthful ideas into the workplace.

At the same time entrepreneurial thought and action is creating an abundance of career opportunities, unlike ever before .On the one side it is the entrepreneurs themselves who are creating these career opportunities and on the other side its the ‘entrepreneurial’ type who are seizing these opportunities, they are even offering jobs and positions to , providing employment in a rather large scale to the new and upcoming tide of young entrepreneurs.

The proliferation of stories about highly successful entrepreneurs like Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, paired with an economy and job market that has been unfavorable in recent years which have led to an increased interest in entrepreneurship among college students. The chance to innovate, to create a game-changing enterprise, and to hit it big financially all are incentives to becoming an entrepreneur.

Now more than ever, an entrepreneurial approach to career development is essential for those competing for the jobs of the future. An ever changing landscape, emerging industries and markets, non-linear career paths, and issues of work/life balance, require nothing less.
